A PLACE TO INSPIRE

Its construction is estimated in late 19th century. It grows in G shape, the one side of which-including the rooms – has three levels, while the other side is a ground floor for auxiliary uses and guesthouse facilities. The courtyard is delimited by the two parts of the building, while the other two sides have maintained the old walls of the house.

You may enter through the old wooden gate with obvious signs of the time and you are now in the courtyard which is covered with plates under the thick foliage of the trees. It faces towards the building’s basement with the kitchen, the traditional old oven, used by the previous tenants as well as the common area, while on the left you can see the three-storey part of the rooms.

The main part of the building (visible wooden ceilings, exterior and interior stone walls) has been repaired and strengthened at the beginning of the previous decade. These repairs maintained and reused a big part of old materials (stones, wooden roof beams), the wooden staircase with its original lock and the typical big key, as well as the stone oven in the kitchen.

The guest feels like entering the old building, as was constructed over a century ago. It therefore differs from the majority of similar buildings, which are either new constructions imitating architectural trends of the past or old buildings with obvious interventions and additions to the reconstruction.

There are in total five rooms (three with double bed, one with two single beds and one superior with a king size bed and a single bed) located in the three-storey part of the building, each of which has its own architectural and decorative character, without similarities between them.

There are two rooms on the basement, two on the first floor and one on the second floor, where there is also a big living room with a balcony, from where the view to Pagasitikos and the sunset are pure magic.

On the building’s ground floor there is the kitchen with the stone oven and the living room, the windows of which oversee Pagasitikos and the guesthouse’s courtyard. In this part of the building, there is also the boiler room, the washing machine, the drying and ironing machine, as well as the rest of the auxiliary facilities of the guesthouse.

All rooms are equipped with TEMPUR mattresses and pillows (developed with aerospace technology, certified by NASA), which entirely follow the body shape offering superior comfort and support for the most enjoyable sleep.

The house is located in this distinct villaga that has a large and impressive plaza, stone fountains and cobblestone streets in which visitors can discover mansions with typical Pelion style architecture. Reminiscing walks through the booming neighborhoods of Lafkos while smelling the lovely scents from the courtyards and from the herbs that flourish in every corner of Lafkos and all of Pelion, is the most beautiful memory a visitor will bring home with themselves.

During summer, the village organizes the feasts of Agios Athanasios (May 2nd), Agios Nicolas Junior (May 8th), Prophet Ilias (July 20th), Agios Paraskevi (July 25th and 26th) and Virgin Maria (September 8th-10th).
